Product Details

The ReWalk Personal Exoskeleton gives individuals with spinal cord injury a powered way to stand upright and participate in functional walking. Motors at the hips and knees work with motion sensing and computer-based control to coordinate lower-limb movement, allowing the user to initiate standing, walking and turning while supporting a natural gait pattern.

Functional walking becomes more useful when it continues beyond a controlled, level rehabilitation surface. Indoor and outdoor use, mild-slope capability, stairs and curbs help maintain ambulation when changes in terrain would otherwise interrupt the route. Two customisable walking speeds support movement across different environments, while Crutch Control keeps standing, walking, speed selection and stopping directly within reach.

For clinicians, the system provides a structured pathway from initial fitting and gait training towards increasingly functional use. The Therapist Handheld Device allows parameters to be adjusted during training, while individual software settings and adjustable ankle joints support a personalised setup. Wrist Control and the MyReWalk App add mode access, goal setting and usage tracking to support ongoing progression.

The purpose extends beyond taking powered steps. By making standing and walking possible across rehabilitation, home and community environments, the ReWalk Personal Exoskeleton creates more opportunities for regular functional ambulation and the broader physical and wellbeing benefits associated with repeated exoskeleton-assisted walking.

Move Beyond Level Surfaces: Keep functional walking going across slopes, stairs and curbs.
Support for level surfaces, mild slopes, stairs and curbs helps reduce environmental barriers that can interrupt functional walking and extends mobility across more everyday settings.

Take Walking into Daily Life: Progress beyond rehabilitation into more practical mobility.
Indoor and outdoor use, varied-terrain capability and two customisable walking speeds help extend exoskeleton walking from structured gait training into home and community mobility.

Build Towards Functional Use: Develop greater control through personalised training and progression.
Individual settings and therapist-controlled adjustments allow the walking setup to develop with training, supporting progression towards a more personalised and functional gait pattern.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • How does the system know when the user wants to take a step?
Walking is user-initiated rather than continuously automatic. Motion sensors detect changes in body position and work with the powered hip and knee joints to translate movement into coordinated steps.
  • How do crutch control, wrist control and therapist control work together?
Crutch Control manages key walking functions, while Wrist Control provides access to operating modes and user information. The Therapist Handheld Device allows clinicians to adjust parameters during training.
  • What is personalised during fitting and training?
The physical setup, ankle joints, software settings and walking parameters are configured around the individual and refined as training progresses.
  • How does the system adapt when walking conditions change?
Two customisable walking speeds support different environments, while level-surface, mild-slope, stair and curb capability helps maintain walking as terrain changes.
  • What role does the MyReWalk App play after training?
The MyReWalk App supports goal setting and usage tracking, helping users follow walking activity over time.
  • What does progression from rehabilitation to personal use involve?
Progression starts with assessment, fitting and structured training before extending into functional walking in home and community environments
