The MIR Spirodoc® is a professional portable touchscreen spirometer designed for lung function testing wherever respiratory assessment is required. Its handheld format makes it suitable for hospitals, respiratory clinics, physician practices, occupational health programmes, rehabilitation facilities, teaching environments and community healthcare settings.
The touchscreen supports patient data entry, test selection, and result review, while the removable flowmeter housing helps clinicians position the test more easily around seated, mobile or harder-to-position patients.
The Spirodoc® uses MIR’s bi-directional digital turbine flow sensor to support accurate airflow and volume measurement with low airflow resistance. It supports key spirometry, including FVC, VC, IVC, MVV and PRE/POST bronchodilator comparison.
The device can be used with reusable MIR turbines or FlowMIR® disposable turbines, allowing facilities to match their turbine choice to hygiene procedures, patient volume or teaching requirements.
For practices that need more than spirometry alone, Spirodoc® can be configured with optional 3D oximetry for SpO₂, pulse rate, movement, body position, 6MWT, sleep test and 24-hour SpO₂ Holter system when configured.
USB and Bluetooth® connectivity support digital data transfer and compatible MIR software system for reporting, review and patient record management.

- USB & Bluetooth® Connectivity: Supports data transfer and compatible MIR software reporting.
- Optional 3D Oximetry: Adds extended SpO₂, pulse-rate, movement and body-position when configured.
Benefits:
- Supports professional spirometry outside a fixed testing station.
- Helps clinicians test patients in rooms, wards, rehab and outreach settings.
- Supports flexible turbine system for daily clinical, teaching or screening use.
- Stores tests on the device for later review or transfer.
- Supports connected digital reporting through MIR software.
- Adds optional advanced respiratory monitoring where clinically required.
Additional 3D Oximetry Option
- The optional 3D oximetry configuration adds oxygen saturation, pulse-rate, movement and body-position data to the assessment system.
- Adds SpO₂ and pulse-rate measurement alongside spirometry
- Supports 6MWT, sleep test and 24hrs SpO₂ Holter systems
- Helps connect oxygen saturation trends with movement and body position
- Useful for practices needing extended respiratory monitoring beyond routine spirometry

FAQs:
- Should I choose a reusable or disposable turbine?
Reusable turbines suit routine daily spirometry where the practice follows its cleaning and disinfection process. FlowMIR® disposable turbines are useful where single-patient turbine use is preferred.
- Can Spirodoc® store tests without a computer?
Yes. The device stores up to 10,000 spirometry tests for later review or transfer.
- What does optional 3D oximetry add?
With the correct configuration, it supports SpO₂, pulse-rate, movement, body-position, 6MWT, sleep test and 24hrs SpO₂ Holter systems.
- Can Spirodoc® support digital reporting?
Yes. USB and Bluetooth® connectivity support compatible MIR software system for reporting and patient record management.
- Does the turbine need routine calibration?
Routine turbine calibration is not required, although calibration checks can be performed according to MIR software and facility procedures.
